About Us
Norco’s Famous Sixth Street Deli & Grill originally opened in 1989 as Sixth Street Deli. It has seen four owners. We were the last to purchase it in February of 1995. The store has seen many changes from its origin of a single unit with only 9 inside seats to where it is today with indoor seating for 68 and outdoor for twenty plus. In 1996 the second unit was leased with the addition of the “grind your own flavor” ice cream and yogurt shop. Also a horse tie area with an adjoining picnic bench – a must in Norco. 1998 the ice cream shop was closed to make way for additional dinning and kitchen space to handle the expanding full service catering business - Sixth Street Catering (closed in 2020.) In 2008 additional cooking equipment was added to expand the menu from just sandwiches to grill items (hamburgers, hot dogs, fried and grilled chicken, fries and even grilled chicken tacos – one of our biggest sellers.) The newest transformation was the accusation of the third adjoining unit. This area again increased the kitchen area as well as added a second dining room that can be closed from the main dining area and used for meetings and parties. With the additional space added we are now hosting meetings and private parties. RURAL and Norco Fair Committee hold their meetings here. Our outside seating is "Pet Friendly" and smoking is allowed. Norco's Famous Sixth Street Deli and Grill has been in the same location for almost thirty years. The Deli and it's owners and employees have always been involved with the Norco Lifestyle.
The Deli has a very large menu with over fifty regular entrée items as well as daily specials. The menu includes your deli favorites –two kinds of turkey, two kinds of ham, Italian deli specialties, roast beef, corned beef, pastrami, sausage, meatballs, and fresh every day egg salad and tuna salad. We also make meal sized salads, twelve signature sandwiches and fifteen grill items – including vegetarian choices. Along with all of that we also have fresh made deli salads – including our famous “homemade” potato salad – it’s like eating a baked potato with sour cream and chives. But if you ask what most people remember us for other than the great sandwiches – are our Deviled Eggs, Chocolate Chunk Brownies and our Strawberry Shortcake Cookies. All of which are made fresh every morning.
